Well its over for another year not many power boats lots of ski boats and skiers juniors and jet skis , as well as 8 classic boats .we were only an exibition class starting from sackville and restricted to 40mph i ran thrifty too .and she didn't like going slow .but as it would happen my foot cramped up now and then so a bit of flexing sort the speed climb. nathan mills gave me a cd with a lot of pictures of the hydro over the years. ill be making a history board soon .now for forster and no sspeed limits. all those out there with wooden old boats and even old classic plastic keep the next bridgge race in mind as we hope to be in our own competion class

the apba asked us classic boat owners to do an exibition run from sackville and we didn't have to pay entry or licence fees so the speed restriction was to keep marine authorities happy. maybe maritime thinks old boats are not safe .the was three hydros entred but one had engine trouble and the other didn't turn up. im hoping the apba will look at goolwa as an example of the crowd a large contingent of vintage boats can attreact dthe great racing we put on in the name of fun day. it would be great if the apba came to forster in july

the maritime excuse for a restriction sounds like a great load of bull shit via the a**a pete. maritime cant make a ruling on weather your boat is safe or not.. unless it is a total wreck to the eye.as i said before if they can piss on you they will.and use what ever means to do it to you. regardless of how succesful forster is there never going to change there minds about hydros new or old..
