Championship caliber powerboat racing returns to Huntington, West Virginia, July 26-28, 2013 and you will want to make sure you are part of the excitement surrounding the third annual Huntington Classic as powerboat racing returns to downtown Huntington!
Formula 2 and Formula 3 outboard tunnel boats representing the best teams from across the U.S. and Canada will converge on Harris Riverfront Park in Huntington's downtown to compete in the third event on the 2013 American Performance Racing Superleague schedule. The events are sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association and conducted by APR Events Group, the country's premier promoter of outboard powerboat racing.
"Huntington has hosted some of the most exciting and action-packed racing on the Superleague tour in the past and we are confident this year's event will make the fans, the citizens of the Huntington area, and the racers themselves want to keep Huntington as an annual stop on the tour," said Dan Ferguson, organizer of the Huntington Classic events. "We used to have powerboat racing as part of Summerfest and Ribfest at Harris Riverfront Park several years ago and we are excited to again have the opportunity to bring the highest caliber of boat racing available in American back to Huntington’s downtown riverfront park.
