ok i looked with some intrest and yes very interesting.... im sure he could have put 6 engines it tho.... Miss America X was 12 metres long, and was powered by four supercharged Packard aeroplane engines. On September 20, 1932, Wood drove his new monster-boat to 124.860 mph (200.943 km/h). It would prove to be the end of an era. st clair river

How many generations of the Jones family have been designing and building Hydroplanes in the USA? What are their names?

This should be easy.

What was Henry Lauterbach's fastest boat and what was its averaged speed on a two-way straightaway run? scratch

Reckon Advance United a GP at 170 mph. Kent Hitchcock blew it over on an attempt to lift this mark. Being pedantic as a boat built from a frame kit by the Knights might have been faster!!

OK then, The Boss built from a Lauterbach frame kit by the Knights, 177.5 mph. If not these then I'll bite! ( and politely ask for proof positive)LOL.

Nice try. Did Craig ever hold the outright Oz record? Dont think so. Anyway it was way before and younger than Craig would have been if he did, can gaurantee that.

Not Ernie and while that may be true for Craig the record had long passed that speed.
This is a truly nasty question so will throw in a few clues; there has been power boat racing in Oz for over 100 years and the APBA was formed in 1929.
